Hanger voor een ketting

Steek 2 harten uit in 2 verschillende maten van Woord Clay en Pardo klei en bevestig deze aan elkaar met ringetjes en een ornamentale hanger.

Fit the 5mm removable disc onto the rolling pin as shown in the photo.

Take an appropriate lump of Pardo clay and roll it flat on a plastic surface.

Cut out a heart with the largest heart shape cutter.

Remove the excess Wood Clay and put it back in the packet. Make sure it is stored in an airtight container.

Make a hole for hanging with a suitable object. Let the heart air dry for approx. 24 hours.

Roll a lump of Pardo clay on a smooth surface. We have used a Swirly Pardo. An acrylic plate can be used to press and roll Pardo clay.

Put the heart in a 130 degree preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. After the heart has cooled down, varnish it with Pardo Clay Varnish.

Once the paint has dried completely, attach the little heart on top of the big heart with glue. We have here used Clear Marker which is easily applied.

Cut three pieces of the chain; two measuring approx. 5cm and one measuring approx. 6cm.

Assemble the three small chains with an oval ring.

Attach the hearts, small chains and the ornamental pendant onto a large round jump ring.

Cut a chain of antique gold and one in champagne gold in the desired length. Put them together at one end with a round jump ring or an oval ring.

Attach the pendant onto the chain and close it at the other end with a round jump ring or an oval ring and a clasp.

Finished. Now the necklace is ready to be worn.

Mobiele telefoon tas

Maak je eigen coole leren mobiele telefoon tas.

Measure your mobile phone. Add 1.5cm to each side. Cut in 1.5cm on either side for the flap.

Cut out four strips for decoration, each 1.5cm wide and 2.5cm long

Attach an oval jump ring onto each strip and make holes with revolving punch pliers for sewing on the strips.

Mark out where you want to attach the strips.

Make holes.

Pull a cord through the holes.

Sew on the strips.

Repeat twice and let the strips overlap.

Make four holes in the last strip.

Make four holes in the flap of the mobile phone bag.

Cross the cord through the last hole and finish with a knot on the back.

Make holes with revolving punch pliers through both layers of the mobile phone bag for eyelets. These should be 0.5cm from the edge.

Mark out holes in the side (1cm spacing between each hole) for sewing it together.

Make holes. Hold the leather together with a peg, so it does not slip.

Mark eyelets on the flap.

Cut two pieces of cotton cord each measuring 50cm. Pull a round jump ring onto the middle and double over the cords.

Plait with four cords. Cut four cords 1/3 longer than the desired finished length. Tie the cords together and secure them onto a Macramé Board. Start alternating with the cord located at the far right side and the cord at the far left side. Put the cord you are holding down between the two cords which you have in the opposite hand, place it underneath the inner cord and then back so that it is placed inside, at the side it came from. See step by step photo on pages 23-29. Continue to desired length.

Cut off the ends and glue them together.

Attach an end cap and hook it together with the bag in the round jump ring.

Gather the two cords with the swivel claps.

Sieraden

Gevlochten armbanden op een Mobidai Kumihimo vlecht schijf. Een eenvoudige methode waaraan zelfs jonge kinderen kunnen meedoen. Maak een knoop als de armband op de gewenste lengte is.

Cut four pieces of embroidery floss each measuring approx. 80cm.

Double over and tie a knot approx. 10cm from the end to form a loop.

Keep the knot under the hole of the Modidai Kumihimo braiding disc and pull the eight ends up through the hole of the disc.

Now lead the one string from 1A to 1B, 2A to 2B, 3A to 3B and 4A to 4B. This is one round. After each round, turn the disc so the strings again will lie on a pink dot.

Tie a knot when the bracelet is the desired length.

Sieraden maken

Cut a leather cord to the desired length. Make an adjustable knot as shown in the photo.

Make a pendant on a drop pin. Finish by making a loop.

Put the pendant onto the leather cord with a round jump ring.

Thread beads onto a beading wire. Thread the opposite ends of the beading wire through the same crimp bead. Pull both ends in opposite directions. Squeeze the crimp bead flat.

Make a bead section on beading wire. Make a loop on each end of the beading wire and close with a crimp bead and a bead tip.

Make a section from leather cord. Cut three equally long pieces of leather cord. Glue the ends into an end cap using Super Attak instant glue.

Connect the various links with round jump rings.

Spannende haar accessoires met veren

Passend bij onze prachtige leer serie hebben we deze haarband van leer en veren gemaakt. De decoratie van bloemen kan ook worden weggelaten als je alleen de prachtige veren patronen wil.

Measure the length of the hair band and add 6cm. Draw this length up on the back of a piece of leather. The width should be about  4cm.

Cut off the sketched strip.

Cover the hair band with special extra strong double-sided tape – both on the outside and the inside and remove the protective layer.

Put the inside of the leather on the inside of the hair band. Make sure there is 3cm extra at each end.

Cut the corners at an angle to achieve a great finish. Cut approx. 3-4mm from the edge of the hair band, so you cannot see any of the plastic of the hair band when the leather is folded around it.

Start by turning the pointed end tip of the leather inwards. Then fold the strip of leather towards the middle of the hair band as you go along. Don’t worry if the sides do not reach completely and if they make a crack. This small crack will be covered by glue and feathers. If the sides fold over each other, you can trim them to make them smaller.

Cut away all the downy bits of the feather, leaving only the best outer feather. You will need to cut quite a lot of feathers.

Start by gluing on the feathers with a glue gun approx. 1/3 up on the hair band. Then work downwards by making each new feather cover a bit over the previous one. Glue a small piece at a time to avoid the glue drying up. When you reach one end, turn the hair band and continue with the remaining 2/3. Start at the same place as before and work down towards the other end.

For the floral decoration you will need to cut approx. 15 small leaves of your desired size. Make a hole at one end with revolving punch pliers.

Cut a piece of 1mm thick leather cord measuring approx. 50cm and feed the cord through the holes in the leather leaves. To make the decoration more exciting, you can alternate between different colours of leather, and between front and back of the leather leaf.

Gather all the leaves onto the middle of the cord and tie the cord hard together with a reef knot.

Turn the decoration so that the back is facing upwards and thread a coconut wooden bead onto one of the cords. Make an ornamental flourish with the card and glue the cord securely with a glue gun. With the same cord make another ornamental flourish with another wooden bead on and glue securely in place.

With the other cord make a single ornamental flourish with a wooden bead on and glue securely in place. Cut the two cord ends to length.

Pull a metal disc onto each cord end and glue with Super Attak Instant Glue. Alternatively you can use Clear Marker as glue.

Turn the flower decoration face up. Find three beautiful, long feathers and remove the bottom downy bits of the feathers. Glue on the feathers between the leaves of the flower.

Glue the entire flower decoration onto the hair band with a glue gun 1/3 up where the two opposite directions of feathers meet. The hair band is now ready for use.

Cut a piece of 2mm thick leather cord measuring approx. 145cm. Thread beads on in the desired order.

To close the necklace, make an adjustable knot in each side. Then you can vary the length of the necklace.

Kettingen

Twee kettingen gemaakt van natuurlijke materialen; suède koord, waxed katoen draad en kokosnoot kralen en een paar technieken.

Leather necklace

Fold the cord around the coconut ring and the waxed cord and tie around with an Albright knot.

Albright knot:
Fold the cord as shown and twist it round and in through the loop. Pull the cord on the right and the loop will lock.

Attach the swivel clasp and make a lacing as shown previously.

Finish with a loop and twist waxed cord around.

Assemble the rings with waxed cord. Tie them on the back.

Make a tassel in the ring. Tie again with an Albright knot. Remember the small pendant at the last twist.

This is what the fastener looks like. The ring serves as a button.

Button necklace

Cut two pieces of waxed cord each measuring 120cm. Weave in and out around the buttons as shown.

Pull the cord so that the buttons are overlapping. Change to smaller buttons up the side.

When the necklace is long enough to go over your head, then tie a double knot to secure. Tie knots in each cord end.

Assemble the glass prism and the chain in a large round jump ring.

Cut four or five small pieces of chain. Attach these to the large jump ring with a small round jump ring.

Make a pendant by attaching beads onto an eye pin. Make a loop.

Cut some pieces of jewellery chain. Open up the pendant loop slightly and attach it to the chain. Make more pendants. Alternate the chain and pendant together until the chain has reached the desired length.
