Masking Tape op eieren
Deze eieren zijn gemaakt van transparante harde folievellen. Een Fiskars vormsjabloon is gebruikt voor de vorm. De eieren zijn gedecoreerd met masking tape.
1.
Gebruik een dunne marker pen om de vorm over te neme op het folie.
2.
Draai de folie met de markerlijnen naar beneden in de richting van de snijmat om te voorkomen dat de markerlijnen afgeven op het tape.
3.
Knip het ei uit langs de dunne markerlijn. Maak een gat aan de bovenkant van het afgewerkte ei en bevestig een stuk katoenkoord om het ei aan op te hangen of bevestig het ei op een wenskaart.

Prachtige Paasdecoratie
Deze schattige kleine kippen zijn gemaakt van Vivi Gade Design vilt van de Helsinki serie. De vleugels en de poten zijn gemaakt van bloemendraad en aan het lijfje genaaid. De ogen zijn houten kraaltjes.
1.
Draw the desing onto the felt twice using the template and cut out.
2.
Make the legs, the wings and the comb from floral wire as follows:
For the legs: cut two pieces of floral wire each measuring approx. 80cm.
For the comb: approx. 40cm.
For the wings: two pieces measuring approx. 40cm.
3.
Double over the floral wire to twist the ends together. Follow the same procedure to make the legs, the comb and the wings.
Form the feet and twist the ends together.
4.
Put the felt pieces together (right sides facing out) and sew together with buttonhole stitches all the way around.
When having sewn 7cm along one side, attach the wing between the two pieces of felt and continue sewing.
At the tip insert the comb and continue sewing. Don’t forget the wing at the other side.
5.
Before sewing the base together, insert a small amount of polyester stuffing inside the chicken.
6.
Pull a wooden bead onto the legs and finish at the top by twisting to form a small loop. Sew the legs onto the body with the small loop.
7.
Finally cut out a beak and glue it onto the chicken. Sew wooden beads onto the chicken for eyes.

OUTDOOR LIVING
A lovely summer memory. The boxes and the trivet are painted with Plus Color Craft Paint in pastel colours. Pressed flowers and leaves are glued on using A-Color Medium Glue Lacquer.

Paint the lid of the box or the trivet with Plus Color Craft Paint in a pastel colour.

Apply a generous layer of A-Color Medium Glue Lacquer to the area on where you will apply the flowers. Lay the flowers on the glue lacquer. Spread glue lacquer on top to coat the flowers. Let it dry.

The trivet’s glass plate is then glued onto the flowers. Use a glue gun or just glue. Assemble the box lid and glue with a glue gun.

Een Papier-Mâché ei gedecoreerd met quilling
Gebruik een guillotine trimmer voor het snijden van Canson kaart in reepjes. Rol dan de stroken op met behulp van de quilling pen en plaats deze in de gekozen vorm in het quilling bord. Lijm vervolgens alle rolletjes op het papier-mache ei dat is geverfd met Plus Color Acrylverf.

Verf de papier-mache ei met witte Plus Color Acrylverf.
2.
Snijd de Canson kaart in 5mm brede stroken met behulp van de guillotine trimmer van Fiskars. Begin met het trimmen van het stuk karton, zodat het meetinstrument van de guillotine trimmer zichtbaar is aan de linkerkant.
De procedure voor het snijden van stroken is om het stuk karton steeds 5 mm naar rechts te verschuiven.
3.
Plaats elke strip (een voor een) in de gleuf aan het uiteinde van de quillingpen en rol strak op. Plaats de rol in de gewenste vorm in het quilling bord om zijn vorm te behouden.
4.
Verwijder de quilled papierstrook van de quilling bord mal wanneer dat hulpmiddel is gebruikt. ZRol zorgvuldig uit tussen twee vingers. Zet de rol vast met een beetje lijm en plaats de rol in het quilling bord tot de lijm droog is.
Maak rollen van verschillende afmetingen met behulp van de mallen op het quilling bord. Je kunt er ook voor kiezen om de rollen met je vingers te maken.
5.
Lijm de uitgeharde rollen op het ei, in een patroon naar keuze. Je kunt het ei of helemaal of slechts gedeeltelijk met quilling rolletjes bedeken.

TIP! You may choose to squeeze half-sized strips into a slightly larger heart-shaped mould on the quilling board – several at the same time and glue them together with a bit of glue.

Wollige schapen
Schapen gemaakt van Silk Clay en Wood Clay – met beide materialen is gemakkelijk te boetseren en drogen aan de lucht. Houten kralen zijn als ogen gebruikt.
These flat sheep are very easy to make and can be used for hanging with natural twine or on a stick in a flower pot.
The sheep’s coat is made from Silk Clay. Roll a small thin sausage from Silk Clay approx. 4-5cm long. Shape it into a flat spiral. Put it on a plastic pocket. Repeat and place the spirals next to each other. Silk Clay sticks by itself. Keep adding more Silk Clay flat spirals until the sheep’s body measures approx. 5x7cm. NB: Leave a small gap between the spirals at the top, if you wish to attach a piece of string for hanging later.
Sheep’s head and legs: Form a rounded triangle in Wood Clay, press it slightly flat and attach a set of ears. Push in two black beads for eyes and put the sheep’s head onto the Silk Clay body. Roll small legs from Wood Clay and stick them up in the Silk Clay body. If you wish to attach the sheep to a stick, then push the stick into the Silk Clay body. No need to use glue. Let it dry on the plastic pocket. Attach a piece of natural twine for hanging.
Younger children can just roll small balls instead of spirals for the sheep’s wool.

Modelling

Gedecoreerde papier-mâché vormen
Deze papier-mâché vormen zijn geverfd met Plus Color verf en vervolgens gedecoreerd met 3D puff liner. De stippen zijn met behulp van een warmte pistool opgebold. Tot slot zijn nog veren en een bloemenlint aangebracht.
1.
Verf de papier-mâché vormen met Plus Color verf en laat drogen.
2.
Breng stippen en strepen aan met 3D puff liner en laat drogen. Je kunt ervoor kiezen om een snavel te knippen uit karton en op het kuiken te plakken.

Laat de verf opbollen door met een warmte pistool draaiende bewegingen te maken boven de papier-mâché vorm op een afstand van ongeveer 10-15cm. hierdoor gaan de stilppen en lijnen van 3D puff liner opbollen.

Lijm veren, uit karton geknipte oren en een lint op de vorm van papier-mâché.

Natuurlijke vormen
We werden geinspireerd door de vormen en kleuren van de natuur bij het maken van deze schattige kleine vogels, schapen en hazen.
Al de vormen zijn geboetseerd in papier-mâché pulp. De aangemaakte pulp moet voor gebruik minimaal 1 uur rusten, maar kan ook een paar dagen voor gebruik gemaakt worden. Voeg materialen in natuurlijke kleuren toe en reken op 2-3 dagen droogtijd. We hebben ervoor gekozen takken, stenen, houten schijven, veren, zwarte houten kralen, veren, wol etc. toe te voegen. De vormen kunnen eventueel ook geverfd worden met Plus Color acrylverf. Een fantastische activiteit voor kinderen.

Mix the papier-mâché powder and water in the ratio 3-4 parts powder to 1 part water.
Let it rest at least 1 hour before use.

Tofts of wool on Silk Clay
Sheep modeled in Silk Clay. The wool is glued on with a glue gun.

Make body parts for the sheep in Silk Clay and put them together.

Make a ball. Cut “toes” with a pair of scissors and attach the hooves.

Kuikens gemaakt van bonsaidraad bedekt met gipsgaas
Dit kuiken is gemaakt van bonsaidraad bedekt met gipsgaas en vervolgens geverfd met glanzend A-Color glasverf en gedecoreerd met stippen gemaakt met een foam kwast. De ogen zijn gemaakt met een glas-en-porseleinstift.

Buig het bonsaidraad in een U-vorm. Bend de voeteneinden zodat het kuiken kan blijven staan.
2.
Knip een aantal stukken gipsgaas van ongeveer 15cm lang. Doop in water en wikkel om het lijf van bonsaidraad. Vorm een snavel van gipsgaas en druk dit stevig op het lichaam.
3.
Knip een stuk gipsgaas voor de vleugels. Bevestig dit op de rug van het kuiken en laat drogen.
4.
Verf het kuiken met A-Color glasverf.
5.
Maak stippen met een foam kwast en ogen met witte en zwarte glas-en-porseleinstiften.
