1

Needle felting. Place some wool on top of a square piece of felt and felt using the felting needle – up and down. Don’t forget your needle felting foam pad.

2

A piece of felt. Cut designs from felt and glue them onto a square piece of felt using textile glue.

3

Sew the sides and – if you wish – the decoration using mercerised cotton yarn. Choose either tacking stitches or buttonhole stitches.

1125 Transfer Designs op T-Shirts

Geschreven: 14 januari 2017 door admin

Call Me

1

Choose a design and print it onto Transfer Paper (use an Ink Jet printer).

2

Cut out the design to your desired shape (you may draw the outline with a pencil first…).

3

Separate the backing paper from the transfer.

4

Place the design on the t-shirt and iron it onto the t-shirt. Put a piece of grease proof paper between the design and the iron. (Turn the iron dial onto “cotton” – fix the print by pressing moving the iron firmly for approx. 1 minute). Let the print cool for a few minutes. Then remove the grease proof paper.

5

Finally decorate with stamp printing using Textil Solid fabric paint.

Tips

Instructions are included with the transfer paper in case of any doubt.
Find cool designs on your computer or take your own pictures and print them out.
This is a super activity for slightly older children who want to create their very own cool t-shirt.

11683 Trendy tas genaaid van vilt

Geschreven: 14 januari 2017 door admin

Genaaid van vilt

Tas genaaid met katoengaren en vilt. Met gespsluitingen van imitatieleer en metaal.

It makes the sewing easier and it looks a lot nicer if you measure up for the stitches. Use the fine black marker pen for marking all the cut-out parts. Put the first mark ½cm from the edge (seam allowance). From the mark, measure 1cm between each stitch. This results in a lovely and even result. Sew with buttonhole stitches.

1.

Use a fine black marker pen when drawing the templates onto the felt.

Wool requirements: 6 balls of Soft Mohair. The loom comes with a CD and a user manual.

1

Take 2 balls of yarn and secure the ends onto the loom. Wrap a total of 5 rounds for each square.

2

Sew all the yarn intersections together.

3

When all yarn intersections are sewn together, remove from the square from the loom. You will need 64 squares for a large size poncho.

4

Remove the square from the loom by opening it on the back side.

5

Fold the loom and remove the square.

6

Start by putting two squares together with the front sides facing each other and and insert a crochet hook into the first corner loops. Pull the loops from the square at the back through the loops of the square on top. Now crochet the next loop as well. Continue through the next loops – crochet all the squares together with chain stitches – made through the loops that are at the edge of the square. Secure by tying a knot. See the pattern instructions how to crochet the squares together to form the front and the back. Finally crochet the shoulder seam.

7

For the neck cord use 16 pieces of string each measuring 4 meters. Twist the yarn and double over. Tie the end. For the tassels wind 30 times around your finges with two pieces of string. Make two tassels. Tie the strings securely 1/3 from the top and cut through at the bottom. Tie a tassel onto each end of the cord for the neck.

8

Attach the cord at the neck. Follow the holes where the top woven square has been crocheted on – this is the collar.
