Kussens van theedoeken

Placemats zijn in vierkanten geknipt en aan elkaar genaaid als kussenhoes. Gedecoreerd met pompon lint en parelmoer knopen.

1.

Cut seven squares each measuring 13 x 13cm in different colours. Cut nine squares in half, making triangles.

2.

Arrange all the squares and triangles in the desired colour pattern and assemble with pins.

3.

First sew the squares together in rows and finally sew the rows together.

4.

Press and iron the patchwork piece, put it against the placemat, outer side against outer side.

5.

Make a fold on the patchwork piece of approx. 5 cm. Sew this down, making an inner fold. This results in the patchwork piece being smaller than the placemat. Sew together and turn inside out.

6.

Sew three buttonholes in the placemat fold.

7.

Sew on pompon ribbon and mother-of-pearl buttons.

Cupcakes gemaakt met wolvilt

Prachtige hangende decoraties van wol gemaakt door te naaldvilten in een metalen uitsteker. Een stuk koord om op te hangen is ook bevestigd. Een extra detail zoals het stuk oranje is eerst individueel gevilt en vervolgens vastgeprikt op de cupcake.

12073 Kabouters van styropor

Kabouters in de sneeuw

Kabouters gemaakt van styropor harten gedecoreerd met Vivi Gade stof, houten hoofden, handen en voeten.

Divide the heart into areas and draw on the design – also along the sides.

Cut along the drawn lines with an art knife by pushing it into the polystyrene.

Push the suitable cut out pieces of fabric into the groove on the polystyrene heart using a nail file.

Cut off the excess fabric.

Push the rest into the groove.

Use light fabric for the top.

Paint the boots and the gloves with red Plus Color. Paint white dots on the gloves.

Cut Flexible Cord to make arms and roll these in fabric to match the top. Close with double-sided adhesive tape.

The tip of flower sticks connects the head and the shoes to the body using glue.

Paint the skis, sticks and sledge with Plus Color, off white.

11

Glue the gloves onto the arms and glue the arms onto the back.

Glue on hair.

13

Cut the pixie hats using the template and sew together. Glue onto the head.

14

Fold to make a bow tie. Sew it together and glue it on.

12060 Warme en mooie handschoenen

Polswarmers met een Nordic patroon

Prachtig paar warme vingerloze handschoenen gebreid van Melbourne garen, 100% Australian deluxe wol.
No. 3 breinaalden voor sokken (voor de ribbel) & No. 4 (voor de rest).

Wrist warmers: cast on 48 stitches on a No. 3 sock knitting needle and knit 10cm, 2 plain/2 purl (rib).
Change to No. 4 sock knitting needles and knit three rows plain. Now knit following the knitting pattern. Put on a marking thread at the beginning of the row whilst also increasing the number of stitches for the thumb. Knit the first and second row according to the knitting pattern. Begin to increase the number of stitches in the 3rd row for the thumb as follows; knit all the stitches by one, increase by a stitch (gradually knit the new stitches into the pattern). Fourth row: knit a stitch, increase by a stitch in the 2nd stitch after the marking thread and finish knitting this row. Repeat rows 1 to 4 until there are 12 stitches in the “wedge” for the thumb (i.e. six stitches on each side of the marking thread) = 60 stitches in total. Continue knitting until the entire knitted “tube” measures 20cm. Then put the 12 stitches from the “wedge” onto a thread. Cast on two new stitches behind the 12 stitches = 50 stitches in total. Finish knitting following the knitting pattern lengthwise. Now change to No. 3 sock knitting needles and knit 5 rows rib and cast off loosely. The knitted tube now measures 27cm.

The thumb: Put the 12 stitches from the thread onto No. 3 sock knitting needles and knit 4 stitches into the 2 stitches which were cast on behind the “wedge” = 16 stitches in total. Knit one row plain and 4 rows rib and then cast off loosely.
Knit another wrist warmer for the other hand following the same pattern.

12377 Waxinelichthouders met een decoratieve sok

Waxinelichthouders met sokken

Knip de voet van de sok. Op het voorbeeld zijn ook gehaakte bloemen als decoratie gemaakt.

1.

Cut off the foot of the sock.

2.

Put the rest of the sock onto the candle holder. Slightly roll the cut off end of the sock onto the inside, and fold the rib up onto the inside.

3.

Sew on a crocheted flower (see idea No. 12378) with needle and thread.

11540 Uilen en babushka’s

Knuffelige uilen gemaakt van fleece

Knuffelige, zachte uilen gemaakt van fleece en gedecoreerd met garen.

Print het sjabloon (PDF) en plaas deze op het fleece en knip uit zonder zoom. Doe dit voor alle onderdelen.

Naai de onderdelen op de voorkant van de vogel met zig zag steken. Als u niet over een naaimachine beschikt, kunt u de delen ook met de hand opnaaien.
Als alle patronen opgenaid zijn, naai dan de voor- en achterkant aan elkaar, voorkant op voorkant.

Naai de voor-en achterkant aan elkaar. Als u lussen wilt maken kunt u deze in de vogel op de zoom leggen. Naai de basis. Laat een kleine opening over voor het keren.

Draai de vogel binnenste buiten. Vul de vogel tot de gewenste grootte/dikte. Naai het gat dicht met naald en
draad.

Werk de vogel af door details met garen erop te naaien. Gebruik een naald met punt om de ogen te borduren.

Babushka poppen

Knip alle onderdelen uit m.b.v. het sjabloon. Voeg extra zoombreedte toe voor de buitenkanten van het lichaam en de sjaal (niet voor de basis). Naai het haar op het gezicht. Naai dit op de sjaal en naai het hele gezicht op het lijf. U kunt met de hand naaien of met zig zag steken op de naaimachine. Borduur de ogen en de mond met zwart garen. Naai de onderdelen van het lijf aan elkaar. Naai de basis ook ering en laat een opening voor het vullen. Draai binnenste buiten en vul het lijfje op. Naai het vulgat met de hand dicht.

12117 Hangende geverfde canvas figuren

Canvas figuren

De uitgestanste figuren van canvas zijn geverfd met Pigment acryl verf en gedecoreerd met gouden stippen, stift en houten kralen op een draad.

1.

Draw a design on the figure with a pencil.

2.

Outline the pencil lines with a black marker pen.

3.

Paint with diluted Pigment paint. Skin colour is achieved by mixing brown with white.

4.

When adding a small amount of blue paint in the yellow paint, this results in a beautiful lime colour.

5.

Prime red mixed with white results in different shades of pink. Remember to also paint a canvas figure for the back.

6.

Paint wooden beads in matching colours.

7.

Make gold dots with a foam stencil brush and Plus Color gold.

8.

Pour some black Pigment paint into a refill plastic bottle with a tip and use it for drawing the outlines. Write text on the back.

9.

Pull beads onto pieces of flax twine.

10.

Sew the parts together with doubled over Mercerised cotton yarn. Make the holes with an awl. Also remember to sew on the piece of flax twine for hanging. Do not sew the doll together at the bottom yet.

11.

Fill the doll with polyester stuffing.

12.

Sew the doll together at the bottom. Also at the same time sew on the pieces of flax twine with the beads.

11388 Tie-and-dye tas

Tas

Een kant-en-klare tas met de tie-dyed techniek gekleurd in een bad. Het patroon is gemaakt door elastieken om de stof te knopen. Het is grappig en makkelijk. Kokosnoot kralen zijn erop genaaid ter decoratie.

Tie with rubber bands and plastic as shown. Tie them tightly.

The tie-dye bath is made as follows:
Dissolve 1kg of fine salt in 10 liters of water at 30-60 degrees centigrade. Add 100ml dye colour. Then add 200g Fix medium dissolved in a little water. (For this example we have used approx. 1/3). Wet the bag and put it in the bath for approx. 1 hour. Stir frequently.

Rinse the bag to remove excess colour and remove the rubber bands.

After drying and ironing the bag, sew on the buttons as decoration.

Kerstdecoratie

Het door ons zelf ontworpen acryl vilt van Vivi Gade Design is geknipt volgens een simpel patroon en aan elkaar genaaid om mooie en elegante kerstdecoraties te maken. Door het combineren van de verschillende patronen worden prachtige effecten bereikt die de kerstsfeer verhogen.

Cut out the fabric using the templates.

Sew the pieces together, front side against front side, so the pixie will have a front and a back.

Sew the front and the back of the pixie together, front side against front side. Only sew approx. 2cm up along the head on both sides, as there must be a hole, so the fabric can be turned inside out and for inserting the filling.

Sew in the bottom and then turn the fabric so that the sides are the right way round.

Fill the bottom with plastic pellets.

Fill the rest of the body with polyester stuffing.

Sew the head together using overcast stitches.

Measure the circumference for the lace ribbon.

Measure the lace ribbon and sew it together by hand.

Pull the lace ribbon down over the pixie’s body and either glue or sew the lace on in approximately four places, placing the lace at the transition to a new facric colour.

Sew the hands onto the arms, outer side against outer side.

Sew the arms together, front side against front side, leave approx. 4cm open so you can turn the sleeve.

13

Fill the arms with polyester stuffing.

14

Sew the hole in the arms together using overcast stitches.

15

Sew in the arms approx. 2cm from the neck line.

16

Sew the hat together in the middle in the back.

17

Glue or sew on the eyes.

18

Glue or sew on the nose.

19

Secure a pom-pom to the top of the pixie hat.

20

Cut an appropriate amount of pieces of paper yarn and glue them onto the head.

21

Cut a scarf measuring approx. 37cm long and 2cm wide. Cut to make frayed ends.

22

Put the pixie hat on and trim the hair if needed.

23

Put on the glasses – glue them on if necessary.

Deze prachtige en zeer populaire armbanden van kant worden gemaakt door kanten lint op elastisch koord te naaien en vervolgens de kralen en de knopen te bevestigen.

The lace borders can be sewn on using a sewing machine or by hand. They are very popular with school girls at the moment.
