Knead two colours of Silk Clay into each other with your hands and roll a ball.

Shape three small legs for a little octopus.

Press the eyes into the head.

Press rhinestones onto the legs.

Finally press the key ring on top of the head.

Pull out some of the spring and press the end onto the top of the head.

Pull out some of the spring and wind the string around the sucker, until it is in place.

Tips

Silk Clay is self-hardening and dries quickly. Shape the modelling clay and make details, whilst it is still moist and flexible.

Silk Clay can also be used for making funny bouncing balls, as the modelling clay is very light and with its rubber-like texture when dry, it enables it to bounce.

Kinderen van de Wereld

Deze ikoonen van papier-mâché zijn bedekt met Foam Clay en vervolgens gedecoreerd met Silk Clay. De Silk Clay is uitgestanst met een uitsteekvorm voor het gezicht en het lijf. Het haar, de ogen etc. zijn geboetseerd. De armen en de benen zijn gemaakt van zwart ijzerdraad.

Roll out the Foam Clay into a thin sheet.

Place the Foam Clay sheet onto the icon.

Roll out Silk Clay and use a shape cutter to cut out the head. Attach the head onto the icon and use Silk Clay for making the face.

Roll out Silk Clay for hair and attach.

Cut floral wire for arms.

Attach the floral wire underneath the body.

Roll two balls for hands and cut two notches.

Attach the hands onto the floral wire.

Cut a piece of floral wire for the legs and bend in the middle.

Attach the floral wire underneath the body.

11.

Roll two balls for feet and attach to the legs.

12.

Write text on the tummy using a black Edding Marker Pen.

Natuurlijke vormen

We werden geinspireerd door de vormen en kleuren van de natuur bij het maken van deze schattige kleine vogels, schapen en hazen.
Al de vormen zijn geboetseerd in papier-mâché pulp. De aangemaakte pulp moet voor gebruik minimaal 1 uur rusten, maar kan ook een paar dagen voor gebruik gemaakt worden. Voeg materialen in natuurlijke kleuren toe en reken op 2-3 dagen droogtijd. We hebben ervoor gekozen takken, stenen, houten schijven, veren, zwarte houten kralen, veren, wol etc. toe te voegen. De vormen kunnen eventueel ook geverfd worden met Plus Color acrylverf. Een fantastische activiteit voor kinderen.

Mix the papier-mâché powder and water in the ratio 3-4 parts powder to 1 part water.
Let it rest at least 1 hour before use.
