Geinspireerd door Picasso

We hebben interessante beelden gemaakt door een geraamte gemaakt van zwart bonsai draad met gipsgaas te bedekken. Verf met A-Color acrylverf in neon kleuren en gebruik Poster Hobby Markers voor de details.

The wooden icon plates are used as stands. They are painted with black Plus Color and a hole has been drilled into it for inserting the bonsai wire. This project is suitable for school Art lessons but making the small figures can also be a fun activity for preschool children. We have been inspired by Picasso … what will inspire you?

Form a shape from bonsai wire. Make it U-shaped with loops at the end as feet. Cover with gauze bandage and let it dry.

A sculpture on a stand: Drill holes in a wooden icon plate.

Form a bonsai wire skeleton and push the ends into the predrilled holes of the wooden stand. Dip the gauze bandage in water and cover the skeleton with the gauze bandage. Smooth the surface with your fingers. Let it dry.

Paint it with A-Color acrylic neon paint, let it dry and draw details with a Poster Hobby Marker Pen.

Liefelijke kleidecoraties voor de kerstboom

Homemade kerstdecoraties gemaakt door metalen uitsnijders in de uitgerolde klei te drukken. Geverfd, gedecoreerd en aan een stukje touw opgehangen.

Wollige schapen

Schapen gemaakt van Silk Clay en Wood Clay – met beide materialen is gemakkelijk te boetseren en drogen aan de lucht. Houten kralen zijn als ogen gebruikt.

These flat sheep are very easy to make and can be used for hanging with natural twine or on a stick in a flower pot.

The sheep’s coat is made from Silk Clay. Roll a small thin sausage from Silk Clay approx. 4-5cm long. Shape it into a flat spiral. Put it on a plastic pocket. Repeat and place the spirals next to each other. Silk Clay sticks by itself. Keep adding more Silk Clay flat spirals until the sheep’s body measures approx. 5x7cm. NB: Leave a small gap between the spirals at the top, if you wish to attach a piece of string for hanging later.
Sheep’s head and legs: Form a rounded triangle in Wood Clay, press it slightly flat and attach a set of ears. Push in two black beads for eyes and put the sheep’s head onto the Silk Clay body. Roll small legs from Wood Clay and stick them up in the Silk Clay body. If you wish to attach the sheep to a stick, then push the stick into the Silk Clay body. No need to use glue. Let it dry on the plastic pocket. Attach a piece of natural twine for hanging.
Younger children can just roll small balls instead of spirals for the sheep’s wool.

Form spirals from Silk Clay on a plastic pocket. Place them next to eachother and continue until the sheep’s body is made. Silk Clay sticks by itself, so no glue is needed.

Form a head and legs from Wood Clay. Push two black beads for eyes into the Wood Clay head. Place it on top of the Silk Clay spirals. Leave it all to dry on a plastic pocket.

Kleine Extraterrestrials

Deze figuren zijn gevormd met kippengaas en bedekt met papier-mâché. Geverfd met A-Color Metallic verf.

Mix Dana Wallpaper Paste following th instructions and tear newpaper strips.

Form the Wire Netting into the desired figure.

Brush the Wallpaper Paste onto the newspaper strips and attach them to the figure – layer upon layer. When the entire figure is covered with a generous layer of newspaper, leave it to dry.

Paint the figure – let it dry. Paint the circles where you want the eyes to be in a contrasting colour.

With the same colour as used for the eyes put a very thin layer of paint on your finger and rub the “bumps” on the figure.

Paint the wood beads as eyes. Glue them on with a glue gun.

Paint and decorate the figure according to your imagination. Use 3D-Liner for details. Finally varnish the figure preferably several times for a deeper shine.
