Scrunch up a lot of newspaper or package stuffing and wind with wire until you have the shape you want.

When the bird is dry, cast it in plaster. Support it leaning on something when you cast. Paint everything when completely dry.

Decoratie

Druk kleine schelpen in zelfhardende klei. Het klei reliëf wordt gelijmd op een canvas paneel die gemonteerd is in een prachtige lijst van zink.

Roll out the clay to fit in the thickness of the frame. Cut the clay into 10 x 10cm squares, so it also fits within the size of the frame. Make another 2 smaller squares (¼ size).

The rough surface is created by pushing a rasp into the wet clay, for example.

Mark the large piece of clay into four squares by lightly pressing the edge of a ruler into it. Push various small beach shells into each square.

When the clay is completely dry (approx. 24 hours), you can glue any loose shells back on.

Glue the canvas panel onto the back of the frame.

Glue the clay relief onto the canvas panel.

Finally glue the small clay squares and the shells onto the frame.

Boedha om op te hangen

De maskers van papier-mâché zijn bedekt en gedecoreerd met danwel zwarte of witte Silk Clay. De maskers zijn gepatineerd met goud- of zilverkleurige Art Metal verf aangebracht met een platte foam kwast of een foam tamponeer kwast.

Cover the papier-mâché mask with a layer of Silk Clay and then form the face.

Make hair from small Silk Clay balls which have been cut in half and then attached.

Attach a picture hanger onto the back of the mask using a glue gun.

Dab the mask with Art Metal paint using a foam stencil brush.

Ikoon met oliepastel

Papier-mâché ikonen beschilderd met Plus Color acrylverf. Dan worden de tekeningen met Mungyo oliepastel getekend op schuurpapier en vervolgens gestreken op de ikoon plaat met een strijkijzer.

Het is een goed idee om met contrasten van kleuren te werken. Indien de basis kleur zwart is voor het papier-mâché ikoon, kies dan voor lichte kleuren op het schuurpapier – en vice versa.

Draw on the sand paper with oil pastels. You may paint the papier-mâché icon plate with Plus Color beforehand in black or white.

Projectie schilderen

Gebruik een projector om coole afbeeldingen te vergroten tot dubbele grootte. Teken de geprojecteerde afbeelding na op het canvas met een permanente stift, schilder vervolgens in met acrylverf.

De projector biedt mogelijkheden tot kunstwerken geschikt voor zowel een visuele kunstcursus op school alsook voor iedereen die schildert. Gebruik foto’s, tekeningen, strips alsook modellen. Het moet wel donker zijn in de kamer tijdens het overtrekken.
Een zelfgemaakte tekening krijgt een nieuwe uitstraling na vergroting tot 1×1 m. Gebruik een goede, dekkende kleur voor een optimaal resultaat. Je kan echt te gekke afbeeldingen maken. Veel plezier!

Trek de vergrote afbeelding over op canvas of op een canvas paneel met een potlood of een permanente stift.

Decoupage en schilderen op terracotta

Deze ikonen worden gedecoreerd met A-Color Glass en bekleed met kopieen van foto’s. A-Color Medium lijm wordt gebruikt voor het verlijmen van het papier en spiegel mozaiek tegels.

Paint the terracotta plate with A-Color Glass.

Glue on a copy of a picture using A-Color Medium Glue Varnish. Varnish on top of the picture as well. Ensure that the hanging on the back is attached correctly.

Glue on mirror mosaic tiles with small blobs of A-Color Medium Glue Varnish.
