Vintage schort met stempelopdruk

Een vintage schort gemaakt met zelfklevende sjablonen en masking tape.

Use masking tape to create the vintage stripes. Attach the self-adhesive stencil where you want your design. Press with a sponge. Move the stencil around as you go along. Let the apron dry completely before iron-fixing it with an iron for approx. 5 min. at high heat. Put a piece of grease proof paper between the fabric and the iron.

Olifanten van vilt

Knip de olifanten uit vilt m.b.v. het sjabloon. Decoreer met diverse linten en naai aan elkaar met de festonsteek.

The elepfants are cut out in felt from the pattern. Dekorate med different ribbons og sew togehter with botton hole stiches.

Netsjaal met kant en bloemen

This is how you do it:

Weave the lace ribbons into the net and secure them at the ends as you go along.

Sew a thin lace border on both of the long sides with narrow zigzag stitches.

Sew the wide lace border on both ends with narrow zigzag stitches.

Sew on the thin lace border in a similar manner.

Crochet the flowers with silk yarn. Secure the ends.

Also, make tassels with the silk yarn.

Sew on tassels at both ends.

Gather the scarf a little in two places and sew on a flower with a sewing needle.

Zijden accessoire

Een zijden sjaal en zijde garen zijn geverfd met zijde verf op waterbasis. De bloemen zijn gehaakt in zijde garen, dat ook is gebruikt voor het vlecht- en haakwerk op de sjaal. De sjaal kan worden gebruikt om de hals of om de middel.

Protect the table with a plastic sheet before putting down a piece of polyester wadding slightly larger than the material on top. Pour very diluted paint into a polystyrene cup. Arrange the silk yarn in long lengths and soak piece by piece in the paint.

You may wet the scarf before painting with different colours. They blend well together. Let it dry.

Put the silk onto a large piece of washed cotton fabric and wrap it up. Silk should not touch silk.

The parcel should fit into a saucepan. Wrap it in aluminium foil.

Put the parcel in the saucepan containing approx. 4cm water on top of 3 stones or small pots. Simmer for 1 – 1 ½ hour.

Put a towel under the lid in order to collect condensed water.

7.

After the fixing, rinse out the excess colour and dry the silk.

Crochet flowers and circles of silk yarn. See the patterns at the bottom of the page, but vary the size and pattern.

Crochet and plait long cords.

10.

Braid, plait and twist the crocheted, plaited and single cords around the scarf.

Sew on the flowers with small stitches (which are hardly visible) on the back.

Pattern

Cast on five chain stitches. Form a ring by ending with a slipstitch.

Double crochet ten stitches around the ring and finish with a slipstitch.

Double crochet two stitches in each stitch and finish with a slipstitch.

Crochet four chain stitches, skip two double crochet stitches and crochet one slipstitch. Repeat around the whole ring so that there are seven loops around the ring. Finish with a slipstitch in the first stitch of the round. CHANGE COLOUR.

Crochet in each chain-stitched loop; one double crochet stitch, one half basic treble, three basic trebles, one half basic treble, one double crochet stitch. Continue this in each of the seven chain-stitched loops. Finish with a slipstitch in the round’s first stitch. Turn the flower’s leaves toward the centre.

Crochet five chain stitches and one slipstitch around the slip stitch from the 4th round. Continue the same way round the whole ring for all seven loops. Finish with a slipstitch in the round’s first stitch. CHANGE COLOUR.

Crochet around the loop with five chain stitches, one double crochet stitch, one half basic treble, five basic trebles, one half basic treble, one double crochet stitch. Continue like this in the seven chain-stitched loops. Finish with a slip stitch in this round’s first stitch. Turn the flower’s leaves toward the centre.

Crochet six chain stitches and one slip stitch around the slip stitch from the 6th round. Continue like this all the way around the ring for all seven loops. Finish with a slip stitch in this round’s first stitch. CHANGE COLOUR.

Crochet around the loop with six chain stitches, one double crochet stitch, one half basic treble, five basic trebles, one half basic treble, one double crochet stitch. Continue like this for the seven chain-stitched loops. Finish with a slip stitch in this round’s first stitch.

Gebreid van papier garen met rondbreinaalden nummer 6.

Change to a new colour of the Paper Yarn when each stripe is the desired width.

Cast off at the top of the bag when it is the desired length.

Sew the bag together at the bottom.

Finally sew on a handle at the sides of the bag.

Sjaal

Doe water, zijde verf en de sjaal in een pan. Een uur later heeft u een effen gekleurde sjaal. Fixeer en klaar om gedecoreerd te worden met bedels.

Bring two liters of water to the boil and add 10ml colour. Put the scarf into the water, stirring occasionally. Simmer for one hour – the colour will be fixed.

Rinse all excess colour off and iron the scarf.

Sew charms and rocaille beads onto the scarf:
Fasten the string in the scarf. Feed the string through the charm’s loop and back through the bead. Twist three times around the string before fastening it.

Gehaakte sjaal van exclusief zijde garen

Gehaakt met een dubbele draad wat een rustieke look geeft. Naai ook magnetische gespen met een klein stukje leer erop en maak bloemen van leer.

Crochet 40 chain stitches.

Row 1 – 9:
10 double trebles
10 half trebles
20 double crochets

*Crochet row 10 as the stitches show + 4 chain stitches extra at the bottom. Turn and crochet a double treble in the first hole and the rest as the stitches show*. Crochet row 12, 14, 16 and 18 like row 10.

Crochet row 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 as the stitches show. Turn over at the top with 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet into 2nd stitch.

5.

Crochet rows 20 to 40 as described, however, decrease every equal row by 1 stitch to form the first arch. Crochet a total of 3 arches.

A scallop patterned border:

Crochet one row double crochet along the shawl’s border. Close the row with 1 slip stitch in a double crochet. *Skip 2 stitches over 7 basic trebles in the next stitch. Skip 2 stitches over 1 slip stitch in the next stitch*. Repeat from * to * all along this row and close the row with 1 slip stitch (Make sure that the border is smooth – it should not be too tight or fold).

7.

Make straps for the Magnetic Buckles, four in total, following the template as well as two flowers. Sew these on with silk yarn.
