Sculptural savannah chickens

Small cute savannah chickens made from papier-mâché powder and polystyrene eggs.

Mix papier-mâché powder using the recipe on the bag.
Squeeze the pulp around the polystyrene egg and form the bird as it should be. Poke a hole in the bottom for legs.
Use a stick to make patterns on the bird and let it dry completely.

Paint the bird with Pigment Acrylic Paint – use plenty of water in the paint. Once the first layer is dry wipe the bird with a thin layer of gold paint.

Turn and twist a couple of chicken feet from bonsai wire with pliers, remember an extra long toe for standing in the plaster.
Cut a milk carton approximately 10cm from the bottom and fill it with plaster, put in the chicken feet and stabilize with pegs.
When the base is dry and painted, put on the bird with a blob of glue.

Owls

Paint the polystyne ovals with Plus color craft paint and put them on flower sticks. Stick two pieces of bohemian paper with double-sided foil tape. Cut wings, ears and belly a bit random and glue it on with a glue gun. Draw eyes on bohemian paper, cut them out and glue them on.

Paashazen

Paashazen in een terracotta bloempot – dehaas is gemaakt van styropor, Silk Clay, foam en geverfd met A-Color Metallic verf.

EASTER

The small Easter animals, which are easy to make for small children, are made from polystyrene eggs and balls painted with A-color metallic paint. Eyes, eggshells, noses and paws are made from Silk Clay and the ears are cut out from foam rubber. TIP: If gluing is required for the foam rubber etc. this is easily done with Clear Marker. The Easter animals are placed in a small flowerpot. This idea is also great for teddy bears, trolls and other funny creatures.

Chicken in an egg

It is a good idea to make the egg shell first and then let it dry for a couple of hours whilst making the rest. Then cut some cracks in the shell and then glue the chicken onto the polystyrene egg.

11170 Afrikaans schilderij

Afrikaans geinspireerd schilderij

Dit op Afrika geinspireerd schilderij is makkelijk te maken met structuurpasta en stempels.

Spreid een laag van structuurpasta op de rechter- en linkerkant van het canvas. Druk de foam stempels in de pasta en vorm een patroon. Laat het schilderij drogen.

Gebruik voldoende water als u de Pigment acrylverf aanbrengt met een brede kwast. Varieer de kleuren over het canvas en maak wat klodders hier en daar.

Teken een masker als het canvas helemaal droog is. Bouw deze op met structuurpasta. Hier kunnen voor het effect ook foam stempels gebruikt worden. Laat het schilderij opnieuw drogen en verf in de gewenste kleur.

Decoreer met stippen en lijnen. Gebruik hiervoor een plastic fles met punt. Doe wat water bij de verf in de plastic fles, zodat de verf makkelijker vloeit.

Het populaire Foam Clay is geboetseerd op styropor producten en gedecoreerd met chenilledraad en grappige ogen. U kunt inspiratie over insecten opdoen in boeken en vervolgens kevers, mieren, spinnen, lieveheersbeestjes, sprinkhanen in vrolijke kleuren maken – echt leuk om te doen.

11631 Trol uit het bos

Prachtige trol van stenen

De stenen zijn op elkaar gelijmd en vormen het lijf. Het hoofd en de voeten zijn gemaakt van Silk Clay en op het lijf gelijmd. De ogen zijn van rocailles en het haar is Curly Locks Natuurlijke wol en de hoed is gemaakt van vilt.

11453 Schapen gemaakt van Silk Clay en Wood Clay

Boetseren

Deze platte schapen zijn zeer gemakkelijk te maken en kunnen worden opgehangen met natuurlijk vlasdraad of op een stok gelijmd worden voor decoratie in de bloempot.

De schapevacht is gemaakt van Silk Clay. Rol een kleine, smalle worst van Silk Clay van circa 4-5 cm lang. Vorm deze tot een platte spiraal en leg deze op een plastic showtas. Herhaal dit en leg de spiralen naast elkaar. Silk Clay plakt uit zichzelf. Voer zoveel spiralen toe, totdat het schapelijf ongeveer 5×7 cm meet. TIP: laat een kleine opening tussen de spiralen aan de bovenkant als u de schapen wilt ophangen.

Kop en poten van het schaap: Vorm een driehoek van Woord Clay, druk deze enigzins plat en maak oren.
Gebruik 2 zwarte kralen voor de ogen en druk de kop op het lijf van Silk Clay. Rol kleine poten van Wood Clay en steek deze in het lijf van Silk Clay. Als het schaap op een stok gemaakt moet worden, steek dan ook de stok in het lijf. Lijm is niet nodig. Laat alles drogen op de plastic showtas. Bevestig een stuk vlasdraad voor het ophangen. Jongere kinderen kunnen i.p.v. spiralen ook kleine ballen rollen voor de wol van het schaap.

Afrikaanse maskers

De Afrikaanse maskers zijn gemodelleerd met gipsgaas op een volledig gezichtsmasker van papier-mâché, vervolgens geverfd met Plus Color acrylverf en gedecoreerd met Afrikaanse kralenmix en goudkleurig bonsai draad.

Start by crumpling up a few pieces of paper and put them where you want to increase the size of the mask.
Here it is the top of the head and the chin.

Dip the pieces of plaster bandage in water and model them onto the crumpled paper and mask.

Along the way, place small pieces of paper where it may be necessary to support the plaster bandage.

Cover the mask completely with plaster bandage and smooth it out.
Note that the plaster stiffens reasonably quickly, but takes 1-2 days to dry completely.

Whilst the mask dries, some of the waiting time may be used to make some hair for the mask.
Cut natural twine at a length of 35-50cm and pull on a bead.
Make 3-5 pieces depending on how much hair you want.

Tie a knot around the bead, so it locks at one end of the twine as a “stopper”.

Cut off the short end at the knot.

Make a “bead” by twisting Bonsai wire around an object for example: a brush handle.

Pull the Bonsai “bead” onto the twine, hiding the knot.

Pull beads onto the twine until the desired length is achieved, about 30-40cm.

Once the mask has dried after a day or two, it’s time to paint it.
Here it is primed with Plus Color.

Paint on the face paint.
Do not do it too thoroughly. It should look a little smudged.

Finish the painting with a few details.
For example, white dots.

When the mask is painted and has dried,
make a small hole of about 2-3mm at the top of the mask to attach hair.

Pull the twines with beads through one of the large flat beads to gather the “hair” in a bunch.

Pull the twines through the hole in the mask and pull on another large bead onto the back of the mask.

Tie a knot or two on the back to fasten the hair.

Now cut a hole in the top of papier-mâché mask on the back.

Attach a string through the hole for hanging.

Use glue gun to attach an earring bent in Bonsai wire.

The finished mask.

Variant of the mask

This variant of the mask is made without hair and with more marked face painting.
The possibilities are endless!

Grappige, grijze kabouters gemaakt van zelfhardende klei. Het patroon in de baard is gemaakt met een modelleer gereedschap.

Simpele kerst geest

Gezellige kerstdecoraties gemaakt van Silk Clay, uitgestoken met uitsteekvormen, gedroogd en opgehangen aan zilverdraad. Rol twee rolletjes Silk Clay samen tot een zuurstok.

Roll out the red Silk Clay with the rolling pin. Add small balls of white Silk Clay and continue rolling.

2.

Punch out the hearts with the shape cutter and let them dry completely. Moisten the shape cutter with some water to prevent the Silk Clay from sticking to the shape cutter.

3.

Use a needle to thread the dried, punched out heart decorations onto a piece of silver thread.

4.

Roll the canes from red and white Silk Clay and twist to form canes.
