Experimenteer met houten producten

Houten kralen, houten wielen en bonsai draad maken met elkaar gecombineerd grappige wezens.
De details zijn gemaakt met een pyrografie gereedschaap.

This activity is based on creativity and play -and creative playing. We have used wood beads in many different shapes, wood wheels and bonsai wire. The creatures have each been given an amusing personality with big eyes and details burnt with a pyrography tool.

Schild

Prachtig ridderschild gemaakt van slaapmat, aan elkaar gemaakt met dubbelzijdig klevend tape en geverfd met Plus Color.

Draw a shield free-hand on the sleeping mat in the size you want your shield.

The parts used for the shield are:

2 large pieces for the shield itself
1 small “shield” for decoration,
6-12 squares to look like rivets,
and 2 strips for the handle.

Cut four holes in one shield as shown here.

If necessary strengthen the straps for handles with cloth tape before attaching them.

Attach the straps through the 4 holes as shown and fix them with cloth tape.

Assemble the two large pieces together with double-sided adhesive tape.

Attach the decorative parts, the small shield and the rivets with double-sided adhesive tape.

Paint a design onto the shield.

The example here is done by dabbing Plus Color hobbypaint onto a foam stamp and then pressing the design onto the shield.

The shield is now finished.

Prachtige maskers voor het carnaval

De maskers zijn gedecoreerd met tissuepapier dat gelijmd is met A-color Allround medium lijmlak en geverfd met A-Color glitterverf direct op het masker bovenop het tissuepapier.

A beautiful combination of techniques

The masks are inspired by the colourful parade costumes of the carnival city of Rio de Janeiro, where no expense is spared neither on colours nor glitter. The velvet surface of the masks especially catches the pigments of the A-color glitter paint really well and dries beautifully.

Paint one half of the masks with A-color glitter paint.

Cut out small pieces of tissue paper and glue it onto the mask.

Gently apply A-color paint with a brush and make dots with a foam stencil brush.

Beelden van Afrikaanse maskers

Deze prachtige sculpturen zijn gemakkelijk te maken met een masker van papier-mâché.

Paint the mask in the desired base colour using Plus Color. Now spread on a thick layer of bronze crackle lacquer with a spatula and let it dry.

When the mask is dry, decorate it with beautiful patterns. Use a plastic bottle with a tip for making dots or use the end of a paintbrush. Decorate the large wooden beads in the same way.

Cut the top off a milk carton approx. 10cm from the bottom, fill it with plaster and insert the flower stick. Use pegs or wire to stabilize the stick so that it stands straight. When it is dry, paint both the base and the stick.

Use some Plus Color to make the raffia dirty and make some tassels.
Cut a hole in the mask’s chin and forehead. Now attach the wooden beads, tassels and mask onto the stick with a glue gun.

Space people and Space creatures

The space people from Uranus are extremely intelligent aliens! But they have one major weakness; they have no eyes. To help the problem, they have used their large brains and developed an advanced technology that helps them to see. That’s why they have eyes on all their belongings and spaceships. Without these objects they cannot see.
The space people are very interested in other space creatures and animals. They catch them and put them in cages for their zoos, but it’s not easy because a lot of the space creatures are very dangerous and certainly not interested in being trapped and living in a cage.

SPACE LIZARD
Has sharp teeth so that it can eat metal and stone.

Very dangerous if you try to catch it.

SPACE WORM
The space worn can make you fall asleep with its many eyes.

It is dangerous to catch, because it is never alone.

SPACE SCORPION
Runs very fast. Perhaps the fastest animals found and it has a very pointed tail like a spear.

It is very dangerous if you try to catch it.

SPACE DRAGON
Perhaps the most dangerous animals in the whole of space. It can breathe fire that can melt metal. It can fly, which is why its skin is as hard as metal!
And it is almost as smart as the space people.
